GMAT
The GMAT exam is required for MBA admissions. It stands for Graduate Management Admissions Test and it’s actually adaptive in nature – you get a more difficult question if you got the previous one right. So the test gives you harder or easier question depending on how you answered the previous question.
But besides the adaptive nature of the GMAT, it’s also a timed test that involves a good deal of mental stamina.
The GMAT will have 4 major sections. The first section is the writing section (AWA) – which doesn’t really matter all that much.
But the remaining 3 sections DO matter. They are the Verbal, Quant, and Integrated Reasoning sections.
Here’s how these sections break down in terms of timing.

Notice the entire exam will be 3 hours and 30 minutes.
The new section is called Integrated Reasoning and the two core sections are the Verbal and Quant.
Even within Integrated Reasoning, there are 4 types of questions: Graphical Interpretation, Multi-Source Reasoning, Two Part Analysis, and Table Analysis.
Within Verbal there’s sentence correction, critical reasoning, and reading comprehension.
Within Quant there’s problem solving and data sufficiency.
Perhaps one of the more troubling sections of the GMAT exam is the verbal section – particularly for non-native English speakers. Reading comprehension is already tough under timed conditions. It’s even tougher when you’re trying to read in your second language and comprehend.
Having said that, reading comprehension is a very important part of your verbal score – perhaps the most important aspect. Many struggling non-natives including Indian IT gurus who want to transition to the business side of things will find the GMAT verbal part to be a challenge.
So what can someone who could potentially have an imbalanced GMAT score do about it?
Better Than Kaplan and Manhattan GMAT?
Well, there are a lot of resources out there like Kaplan, ManhattanGMAT, etc.
But there aren’t many resources that actually teach the reading part effectively.
That’s why GMAT Pill came in to play.
GMAT Verbal – Reading Comprehension
The reading part is particularly tough to teach. Most students are visual learners and it’s tough to show someone how to read in a classroom environment.
With GMAT Reading Comprehension Pill, GMAT Pill makes it much easier for students to understand how to read a passage – what to focus on as well as what NOT to focus on. Understanding these strategies will help students better answer the RC questions accurately and score high on their GMAT Verbal exam.
Benefits of GMAT Pill include:
- Quality GMAT prep at a fraction of the price
- Community of students asking questions with Zeke Lee answering them
- 24 Email Support whenever, wherever
- Student testimonials speak for themselves
