This two part analysis math question describes a number series. In order to find one number, you would need to multiply the following two numbers together in some combination as expressed in the formula above. One given is the that the third number equals 1. Well, if the third number is 1, then you know that third number was calculated as a function of the fourth number and fifth number combined. So from the third number, you know what the 4th and 5th numbers are.
Then from there you can find the 2nd number, which is a function of the 3rd and 4th numbers. This pattern continues and it is your job to find the combination of what the first number x1 is and what the fourth number x4 is.
