This is a quant oriented two part analysis question that deals with functions. You are given that beyond a certain value of y, each y value is determined by some function that involves the variable x. Here you can see the function f(x) = y parallels the new function f(a) = b. So effectively, you want to pick pairs of values for a and b such that inputting the value of 'a' for 'x' in that function gives you the corresponding value for b.
Note that you already know a little bit about b based on the information given in the question. For example, you know b must be greater than `4sqrt(3)` .` `
So use that information to help you eliminate answer choices and pinpoint the pair of numbers you are looking for in this two part analysis gmat question.
